James "Jim" Patrick McGrady, III, 69, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2016, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Columbia, SC. Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, is assisting the family.
Mr. McGrady was born July 23, 1946, in Worcester, MA. Following graduation from High School, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He attended the U.S. Naval Academy and graduated from the Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS) and Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol Bartolomei McGrady; his two daughters and their husbands, Morgan and Zac Walsh, and Marice and Robbie Snodgrass; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his twin sisters, Patricia Corwin and Paula Mielinski.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Savannah, 1674 Chatham Parkway, Savannah, GA 31405.
